"Fungal Acne" is internet slang for Malassezia Folliculitis. The term "Fungal Acne-Safe" indicates products that do not have fatty acids, oils, esters, polysorbates, or fatty alcohols that feed the yeast Malassezia, an overgrowth of which (due to environmental factors, hormones, or doing too much to your skin) can lead to skin microbiome imbalance and a compromised skin barrier.
